Deeper Love

I used to call it patience when I was losing sleep, walking on the silence of a house that wouldn't keep, I turned my own heart against me, made mercy feel like chains, I kept forgiving thunder and calling it the rain. I carried every burden, I swallowed every pain, convinced that love meant suffering and staying through the flames. But love was never meant to erase me. Love was never meant to destroy. Love was never meant to leave me empty. Love was meant to restore. Deeper love doesn't make you disappear. It doesn't feed on your wounds or weaponize your fear. It tells the truth, it lets the broken breathe. It holds the light when it's hard to see. I thought love meant bleeding just to prove I'd never leave. But deeper love came back... And rescued me. I carried every sorrow like a soldier at the gate, praying through the wreckage, trying not to break. I fought through every night when hope felt far away, trying to find the pieces of the man I used to be. But beneath the ashes where I thought my soul had died, God was planting morning on the other side. He wasn't finished writing, He wasn't finished working, He was rebuilding something I thought was gone forever. The grave was not the ending. The fire was not the end. The place where I was broken... Was where You began again. Now I know peace isn't weakness, and leaving isn't hate, sometimes the holiest doorway is the one you walk through late. I'm not stone, I'm not shattered, I'm not the lies I survived, I found the love I was searching for when I came back to life. Deeper love doesn't make you disappear. It doesn’t shame all your wounds or punish every tear. It tells the truth, it lets the captive free. It looks like grace with boundaries. I thought love meant dying just to make somebody stay. But deeper love came...And called my name. Yeah, deeper love... Led me out of the pain. Deeper love...Brought me home again.
