Lord, You’ve never asked me to hide. So here I am, Nothing left but truth. Keep me humble, gentle, and kind. I built my kingdom with my own two hands. Watched it crumble like a house of sand. Called my pride freedom. Called my sin life. Turned my back on covenant… betrayed my wife. You sent Your mercy through the words she spoke. I hardened my heart until my spirit broke. Now I stand where the rubble meets Your grace. Ashes on my hands… tears on my face. You knew every step before I ran. You never stopped pursuing this broken man. When I walked away… You remained. When I buried hope… You still spoke my name. Carry it forward, Lord. Finish what You’ve begun. Teach these wandering hands To hold what they once let go. Let my daughters see The Christ they couldn’t see in me. Heal what I cannot restore. Carry it forward, Lord. I’ve lived one choice a million times over. Every Father’s Day. Every shoulder colder. Every empty chair. Every silent prayer. Every flashback says You’re still right there. War taught survival. Grace taught surrender. PTSD remembers… Your mercy remembers better. If I must carry scars until I breathe my last… Let them point to You… not to my past. Break my pride… Not my hope. Break what’s false… Don’t let me go. Teach my children… What I failed to show. Build in me… What only You can grow. You promised… He who began a good work in us… Will carry it forward… Until the day of Christ Jesus. Carry it through my daughters. Carry it through Stephanie. Carry it through every broken place in me. Carry it through generations after me. Don’t let my failures be their inheritance. Let Your faithfulness be. I can’t rewrite yesterday. But I can kneel today. You are still making all things new. Carry it forward…Until the day… You finish what You started.
